With Quentin Tarantino’s newest movie Inglourious Basterds hitting theaters August 21st -and I personally can’t wait for this one, why not see where probably one of our generation’s most influential directors got his start. Reservoir Dogs is playing for one night only on Wednesday August 5th at 7:30pm  in glorious 35mm at the Ritz EastTickets for the showing are $9. After the film there will be a post film discussion at the Triumph Brewery.

Reservoir Dogs is about six criminal strangers, who are hired to carry out a diamond heist. They are completely sure that the robbery is going to be a success. But when the police show up just at the right time at the site of the robbery, panic spreads amongst the group and one of them is killed in the subsequent shootout along with a few policemen and civilians. When the remaining people assemble at the premeditated rendezvous point (a warehouse), they begin to suspect that one of them is an undercover cop. The film is heavily influenced or a homage(like most Tarantino’s films) to the Chinese film City on Fire, starring Chow Yun Fat. I personally was a bit too young to see it in theaters when it first came out, and will take this chance to rectify that and I suggest you do the same. See you there!
