Rorschach: Cute & Adorable

Look at this adorable re-imagining of a pivotal moment in Rorschach’s story, drawn by Brandon at Loose Nuts Studio.

Say it with me now… awwwwww.

40 Beautiful Indie Film Posters: Wow!

Smashing Magazine’s list of indie film posters is certainly a fantastic one. Two of my favorites are on there, The Proposition and The Cooler, both of which I loved.

Well, I didn’t love everything about The Cooler. I don’t care if it was accompanied by Mario Bello’s breasts, I could have lived forever without seeing William H. Macy’s junk.

Six Watchmen Movie Posters: Because One Isn’t Enough

Make no mistake, we here at Geekadelphia are incredibly excited for the upcoming Watchmen movie. We’ll no doubt have some kind of party with the dudes at Brave New Worlds, go to the midnight showing, and lose our girlfriends after swooning over the Silk Specter.

The series of solo posters promoting the film, which I came across over on I Watch Stuff (thanks guys!), are absolutely fantastic. After seeing these, we’re even more psyched. Check ‘em out in the gallery below.

Checking in From Zenkaikon!

Hey everyone! Eric here, blogging from Zenkaikon in King of Prussia, right outside Philadelphia. I’m uploading and editing some video, with a woman dressed up as Link sitting next to me. She’s just begun playing an Ocarina… seriously. I have no words.

Anyhow, enjoy this quick video. We’ll have more through the day.

Toy Story 2 Meets The Dark Knight

This is one of the coolest mash-ups I’ve ever seen. Woody is almost perfectly in sync with The Joker in every scene. Just fantastic.

There are a handful of other Disney meets The Dark Knight videos up on YouTube, but none are as good as this one. Check those out in the related videos once you’ve finished this one.

Watchmen: Enacted By Peanuts Characters

THIS is just utterly brilliant. Found this while stumbling around on Digg. This Watchmen / Peanuts mashup (Watchnuts?) was created by comic artist Evan Shaner.

Evan, we want prints! Hook us up!

Now in Lego: Dr. Manhattan From Watchmen

Ah, Watchmen. Why are you not in the theaters yet? And will you ever get there, what with that ridiculous lawsuit going on? We sure hope so.

Apparently Lego fan ArtPoly is just as excited as we are, since he made this awesome Dr. Manhattan mini-fig to match up with the original Watchmen poster. Nice!

Megan Fox In A Comic Book Adaptation Where Clothing is Optional

Before I get into this, I’d just like to say 2 things.

Eric I know we’re not a film blog, but we’re geeks, and these things interest us greatly.

Dustin, I know we discussed, at length, the fact that Megan Fox baits fragile and geeky men like me like a 21st century Pied Piper…that wears tight Star Wars tshirts and demonstrates her love of all things Apple on a regular basis…I get it, but I can’t quit her just yet.

Anyway, if you’re familiar with Top Cow Comics’ Fathom title, you’d know that it’s largely about an amnesiac girl named Aspen Matthews who is part of this race called The Blue.  No, they’re not mermaids (otherwise we’d be seeing a Splash remake. )  but they can apparently control water.  As of last week, Megan Fox has signed on to star as Aspen, and sources tell the Daily Star (UK) that they are hoping to make the most of her stunning figure.

So basically this means that clothing is optional, and there will be lots of bikini shots.  Well Played.

Film Posters From Poland: Conceptual Masterpieces

Indiana Jones & Alien

You know, American film posters tend to have one outstanding problem. They look like horrible, photoshopped messes. Remember Dane Cook going crazy over the poster for My Best Friend’s Girl? Or the mess that was the Accidental Husband poster? And sure, both movies look like total rubbish, but they could have tried a little harder with the posters. (Note: Check out Photoshopped Disasters for more movie posters messes)

Now Poland… these people get it. And Well Medicated has a great list of 50 gorgeous Polish film posters for you to gawk at. It seems that a lot of the posters don’t say anything about the movie and well… who cares. They look like they belong in a museum.

Have a look, prepare to be amazed.

Custom Hellboy Lego Figures: Red, Kraus, & Abe

If you’ve yet to see Hellboy II: The Golden Army yet… well, something is tragically wrong with you. That, and you’re going to have no idea who the Johann Kraus minifig is in the gallery.

This collection of custom made Hellboy II lego figures were created by Sir Nadroj. You can access his entire Flickr stream here, and check out the Hellboy, Kraus, and Abe figures at the links I just embedded. Seriously great work.
