The Great Superhero Simpsonification
Welcome to the wonderful mad world of Dean T. Fraser. In his project titled Springfield Punx, he recreates popular heroes and villains in the spirit of The Simpsons. Some of my favorites include Master Chief from Halo, Iron Man, The Joker, and Spiderman. He also recently created a desktop wallpaper for the [...]
He Built His Own Tumbler
Yes, we know you like Iron Man a lot, and that you made a cardboard suit of armor to show it.
This, however, is another brand of cool. I bet when Bob Dullam walked out of the movie theater after seeing Batman Begins, he told his friends that he would build his very own Tumbler. [...]
Space Invader Cutting Board
You know, I’m really starting to think we’re going to need a Space Invader category soon. Check out this amazing Space Invader cutting board on Etsy.
The designer also has Tri-Force cutting board. Both will run you a solid $125, but they’re handmade and really quite beautiful.

GeekArt: Movie Geek Grafitti
Art Museums are closed on Mondays, so here’s your weekly dose of geek art!
This week’s visuals are brought to us by /Film - it’s a collection of super cool movie-geek grafitti found all over the world. Of course some of the better ones (read: Star Wars-related) are reportedly done by the super-notorious Banksy. I, for [...]
Stephen Colbert exudes “truthiness” in WoW:TCG
…Or so we had hoped. At least I did. OK so this is news to me…give me a break. I don’t exactly stay on top of World of Warcraft: The Trading Card Game news… but this happens to be something worth discussing.
Here’s how it went down. Upper Deck hired Todd Lockwood [...]
GeekArt: Silhouette Masterpiece Theatre
If you haven’t already, you need to pay a visit to Mr. Wilhelm Staehle’s website, Silhouette Masterpiece Theatre, where he takes old fashioned Victorian paintings, and places silhouettes over them, with silly, witty dialog.
This one is my favorite, by far. Roads? Where we are going, we won’t need roads.

Two Headed Geek Found in Philadelphia!
Oh noes!
Apparently, somewhere within the Tattooed Mom bar, there is a two headed geek… at least, according to the painting on the outside of the building.
Be afraid!

Paper Toys: Cheapest Way To Pimp Your Cube
Here in Philly, we like to make things. It is also universally known that toys are cool. Therefore, making toys is totally awesome. I wrote about speakerdog paper toys in my old blog — but since then, there have been a whole slew of really awesome, customizable, and 90% free paper toy designs.
Have some time [...]
GeekArt: Terry Borders’ Bent Objects
Terry Border, an artist from Indianapolis, Indiana, has an amazing blogspot where you can view his Bent Objects art, where he transforms everyday objects and wire, into some really neat sculptures.
Loved this piece with the chapstick skateboarders, especially in the wake of Paines Park being awards their million dollar grant. Congrats guys!

GeekArt: Nintendo Collages, Now Cubicle Wall Size
We were really excited when we saw Chris Lange’s massive cubicle collages, so much that we wanted them as murals here in Philadelphia.
I think Chris heard the pleas of the thousands that flocked to his collage site, and has made the prints available for $20 on his Etsy. They’re sold out now, but I’m sure [...]
