Doctor Who Season 6 Part 2 on Blu-Ray [Impressions & Giveaway]
Hello Whovians! BBC America has released Doctor Who Season 6 Part 2 on Blu-ray and they’re giving Geekadelphia full access. Season 6 was filled with twists and turns, and viewers learned the secrets of River Song. It was truly a monumental season, and Season 7 is sure to be another good one.
This Blu-ray is a great addition to any Whovian’s collection. Season 6 is one of the most beautifully shot seasons Doctor Who has ever seen, and you definitely should own it on Blu-ray. The High Definition really enhances your Season 6 experience. Some of my favorite episodes like “The God Complex”, and “The Wedding of River Song” are really worth the Blu-ray quality.
Not only does the Season look exceptional in High Definition, but there are a few special features that you have to check out. The Monster Files delves into the world of The Anti-Bodies and The Cybermats. I especially enjoyed learning what went into the modernization of The Cybermats, and the different mechanical variations they used on set. If you’re into learning about the creatures of Doctor Who you need to have this Blu-ray!

I think they would go to prehistoric times and check out dinosaurs! Imagine the romance of being the only two on the planet! Either that or they would stop a war, save a planet, or something like that.
A wonderful trip to the top holiday destination of Apalapucia. Although, I would imagine that they would travel back in time before the plague. And then maybe a stop to see the Sapphire Waterfalls of Midnight before River has to sneak back into prison. That is all assuming that their time lines will align long enough for them each to know that they are married.
The BBC have always been really, really good with their home video releases of Doctor Who. The extras are always really stellar and don’t feel cobbled together. Their recent stuff, where they do new CGI for old episodes, is great.
This season of the Doctor was particularly good. As for a honeymoon, let’s just rule out the Planet of the Spiders.
All things considered, every time the Doctor shows up at a resort or pleasure planet location, it either all goes horribly wrong or was horribly wrong to begin with and he just finds the ugly underbelly. Let’s go with just time travelling in Earth’s past. Maybe go party in Rennaisance Venice?
They would travel back to the time before the Doctor proposed so he could stop making a big mistake.
They should go to Pompeii to hang out with Amy Pond before she was Amy Pond.
I would love to see them go somewhere better than the space cruise that Amy and Rory went on.
I see them going on some kind of archeological adventure. Maybe to a “dead” planet only to discover some crazy alien reason the inhabits of the planet died.
Considering the Doctor’s curious paternal relationship with the citizens of this late blooming, backwater planet I imagine visiting the first World’s Fair would be high on the list of “Enlivening Things to Do On One’s Honeymoon”.
But as far as honeymoons go, given the choice of all time and space, save for where and when you’ve already been, the Garden of Edan really can’t be beat.
