Text Donations for the Sabina Rose Memorial Fund

We are all truly heartbroken over what happened to Sabina Rose O’Donnell a waitress at PYT; one of the favorite burger joints of the Geekadelphia crew. She was a friend to several folks here on the blog, and will be terribly missed. For those of you not from the region, or if you’re unfamiliar with the heartbreaking story, you can read about it on Philly.com, here.

Sibyl & Sharif over at Xipwire, a service that allows you to securely send and receive money using a text message (you might have seen them at the Rittenhouse Row Festival), have set up a text donation number which will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Sabina Rose Memorial Fund.

Simply text SABINA to 56624, to donate $5.00.

    As an update we have had 52 people text to donate today to Sabina’s Memorial Fund.

    Whitney you have a signature at the end of your text messages which is not allowing for your text donation to go through. If you remove that signature and text: Sabina to 56624 again it will work.

    Unable to complete donation because when I enter my credit card info the numbers display in reverse. Am using a moto droid, don’t know if that’s the issue. Please help!
