Farpoint Science Fiction Convention in Maryland Feb 12-14

The only thing I love doing here on Geekadelphia more than having contests and giving away stuff to our great readers, is covering conventions. Sadly con season here in the Philadelphia area usually concludes with Philcon in November and won’t start back up till Monster-Mania in March.

But down in Maryland they are starting up 2010 early with their Farpoint Sci-Fi Media Convention in Timonium, MD.   The convention is being held at the Crowne Plaza Baltimore North, February 12, 13^th and 14^th and has a very impressive guest list with the likes of the lovely Felicia Day(The Guild, Dollhouse and Doctor Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog), Matt Frewer(Watchmen, Eureka and Max Headroom), Mira Furlan(Lost, Babylon 5) and Lee Arenberg(Pirates of the Carribean). Pre-Registration for the event is still open and it will be until January 31 so get in while you can.  Pre-reg prices are  $70 for the entire weekend, Saturday only is $50 and Sunday only is $40.  I already have my hotel room booked and can’t wait. I have heard quite a bit about this con and am looking forward to checking it out first hand.
