Don’t Forget, Philcon 2009 is This Weekend!
In case you forgot Philcon, The Philadelphia Science Fiction Society’s yearly sci-fi convention is this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cherry Hill, NJ.(You know, the same place as Monstermania) I usually attend Philcon and have found it to be a great con for those into the more literary sci-fi, but slowly over the years Philcon has been branching out into other areas of fandom that also interests sci-fi fans such as Anime, Webcomics and even Filk.
Their guest list shows this diversity with such great guests as Author: Catherine Asaro, Artist: Frank Wu, Web Comic Artist: Onezumi, and Special Guest: Cory Doctorow author of Little Brother, and Blogger on a little site called Boing Boing. If you have little ones and still want to attend, Philcon is one of the few cons with a great-dedicated children’s panel track, I heard they even have a little Lovecraft Panel on Sunday morning, just kidding. Needless to say I will be there covering the con for Geek, so see ya there!

My husband and I will be there, helping out with several panels (MMO Nation, MMO 101, Philly Geek, and Delaware Anime Society/Zenkaikon Meet & Greet).
Hope to run into you there!
