Reminder: Bar Camp Philly Party & Fundraiser @ National Mechanics

Don’t forget, my dear Geekadelphians, that tomorrow is our fundraiser / after-party for Bar Camp Philly at National Mechanics.

Open to the public, Geekadelphia will be hosting a silent auction, raffle, and Rock Band competition at National Mechs, one of our favorite Old City hangouts. I’ll be giving away a lot of the swag I’ve collected over the past year, which includes everything from high quality iPod stereo docks, to brand new printers, to autographed memorabilia.

As for the raffle, I’ve got a wonderful collection from Philadelphia’s Quirk Books to give away (thanks Melissa!), tons of games from SouthPeak Interactive (thanks Shaun, Rob, & Sandbox!), fun swag from Showtime (Rommel, you’re wonderful!), and a lot more.

Best of all, all the proceeds will be going towards Child’s Play Charity, a non-profit organization that purchases toys, video games, DVDs, etc. for children in hospitals. We’ll be picking up a lot of items for kids at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with the funds we raise, so come on out and give.

    I might try to make it to this. National Mechanics is the best. Depends on if I feel like braving the trials and tribulations of Jersey to Philly public transportation haha.
