Trick Or Treat Art Show @ Brave New Worlds Comics

Having grown up in the New Jersey suburbs, I always found myself feeling bad for Center City kids. I mean, where do they go Trick or Treating on Halloween? I’m sure there are places to go, but for geeks with family who don’t want to drive out to Manayunk, Brave New Worlds and the Philadelphia Autumn Society have got the answer.

This Friday and Saturday, October 30th and 31st, BNW and the Autumn Society are hosting an exclusive, two-day only Halloween art show. It’ll feature some “spooky artwork, candy, and more” from both parties. Judging BNW and the Autumn Society on their past events, this is sure to be a blast. You can see some previews of the art on the Autumn Society’s official website.

What's it mean to be a geek? Wikipedia defines a geek as "a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual" and describes "one with low social skills, regardless of intelligence." Geekadelphia is a bunch of geeks blogging (and drawing) about all-that-is-geek in the City of Brotherly Love and beyond.
