Spider-Man Lizard: Adorable, Not a Superhero

While I try to stick to writing posts about events and happenings in the Philadelphia geek scene, every once and a while a little gem like this pops up, and I just can’t help myself.
Behold, the Mwanza flat-headed rock agama, also known as the Spider-Lizard. A native lizard to Kenya, this little guy is the latest crazy in exotic pets, with comic book fans swarming pet shops to scoop one up. They grow to be about a foot long, eat your standard lizard food (crickets, mealworms, etc.), and supposedly make good pets. The Telegraph has the full story here.
Does this mean Brave New Worlds in Old City will suddenly go into the exotic pet trade? Only time will tell.
Thanks for the link, Krystine! Another photo of the lizard after the jump!
