Last week, HP was gracious enough to send me a rather sizable gift card to purchase this HP Mini XP Netbook, which I recently reviewed. The laptop has quickly become my personal, day-to-day computer, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. You can read the review here. Even my bunny, Rory, seemed to enjoy the computer.

However, there were a lot of funds leftover from my netbook purchase, and HP was kind enough to let me spend the excess money on a good cause. As a result, Geekadelphia will be donating several brand new HP printers (specifically, a handful of these HP Deskjet D2660′s), to some in-need institutions around Philadelphia. We may host a book-drive or something to go along with this. Not sure yet. Details to follow.

In addition to dishing me out that gift card, HP also sent over a $250 gift card for me to give away on the site. That’s right, as much as it pains me, I’m giving away $250 in HP bucks. Want to win the gift card? Like all our contests, this one is easy. Just leave a comment letting us know which HP laptop is your favorite. Hit up their store, look around, and let us know what you liked. Official rules for their contest are located here. Basically, you’ve got to be over the age of 18, a US resident, can’t redeem the gift card for cash, and can’t be related to or living with any of the Geekadelphia crew. One entry per person.

What can you buy with $250 in HP cash? A ton of calculators, a printer (or four!), or even this other Mini Netbook, which’ll end up costing you a little less than $30 after that giftcard. Awesome.     I really like the HP HDX 18t Premium series, they have a ton of features. I travel a lot and the screens look great for watching movies on as well.

    I believe I’d put the $250 towards a color laser printer such as the CM1312nfi MFP. We’ve been wanting a color laser for a long time, but we don’t really need it, so haven’t want to make the big outlay of cash. A gift certificate would certainly make it a doable purchase.

    I’m liking the HP HDX 18t Premium! It’s quite a big laptop, but that would make it a good desktop replacement. And yet, I can still easily take it with me if I wanted to.

    i chose the HP Pavilion dv6z Artist Edition 2 series. I like that has 2 gig memory and 250 gig memory. It’s also pretty nice looking with the designs on it. thank you.

    I really like this notebook:
    HP Pavilion dv6z Artist Edition 2 series
    but my son’s 15th birthday is coming up and I think I would go with something a bit more affordable for his gift. I have no idea what to get him right now, with our budget, so winning this would solve that problem for me.

    You know I would love, love this HP Gift Card! There are so many HP laptops that appeal to me and if I had to pick a favorite it is the HP HP TouchSmart tx2z series.     I am desprately in need of a media server, so the MediaSmart LX 195 would be my choice. I’ve got probably 200GB of mp3s, pics, and movies duplicated multiple times on all my computers in the house! Save me Obi-Wan… I mean, HP and Geekadelphia, you’re my only hope!
