An Evening with George Takei at the Franklin Institute

Is it just me or has the Franklin Institute become the epicenter for Star Trek on the East Coast this summer? I know the fact that the reboot made $400 million this summer probably hasn’t hurt attendance for their Star Trek: The Exhibition, my only gripe is I wish they could get some of the stars from the new film as well as the getting the classic actors, maybe… possibly….. Zachary Quinto?

Well, for their next Trek event George Takei best known for his role as Mr. Sulu in the Original Star Trek Television show and theatrical films will be at the Franklin Institute, Thursday, August 20 at 7:00pm for “An Evening with George Takei”. George will be spending the evening talking about Star Trek, meeting fans, signing autographs and taking photos.

Tickets for the event are $25.00 for public ($20.00 for members) and include a Q & A with George Takei followed by a meet and greet; a glossy photo and as an added bonus – admission to Star Trek: The Exhibition after 5pm. To purchase tickets, please call 215-448-1254.
