Cupcake Bandit Film Festival: Best Logo Ever

While wandering around First Friday on July 3rd, I spotted a curious table near Brave New Worlds Comics. A couple of hip looking young people, passing out postcards with this cupcake guy on it. I immediately purchased a tote bag with the little mascot on it for my pal Katie at Open Source Cupcakes, and inquired as to what they were doing. Turns out, that villainous cupcake is part of a film festival.

Now, I’ll be completely honest here. This cupcake, created by artist Huge Marmugi, could have been the mascot for absolutely anything, and I still would have written about him. Look at that guy! So awesome, so full of win, so ready to kick some ass.

The festival he’s behind is the Bandit Film Festival, and the cupcake is the Cupcake Bandit. The film festival is this Saturday, July 25th, and takes place in Jefferson Square Park. You can get all the details you’ll need off their official website. In the mean time, I’ll continue nagging them about a desktop wallpaper featuring the Cupcake Bandit. He’s just that awesome.
