Gemini Rising: Webby Nominated Series Screens in Northern Liberties

There are a few reasons why I’m excited for Gemini Rising’s screening in Northern Liberties. One, it’s an awesome excuse to hang out in a fun neighborhood with some good people. And two, it means I might actually see Tim. Dude does not leave No Libs.

This weekend, on Sunday, July 26th, you can catch the Webby Award Winning Series Gemini Rising screening at the 941 Theater. They’ll be screening select episodes from the hit web show, including the debut of the latest episode in the series. Afterwards, there will be live music, featuring local Philly acts Syrrah and Joe Trainor.

But just what is the show about? Gemini Rising follows “the lives, romantic entanglements and struggles of a 1970s progressive rock band as they attempt to navigate their way through the music industry.” The show is definitely not for the younger types, but mature audiences like us will definitely appreciate it. The first seven episodes are currently online.

Screening begins at about 3PM, doors open at 2. There’s a $10 admission, and this event seems well worth the price.
