80’s Pop Show @ Brave New Worlds!

Another First Friday, another new gallery showing at Brave New Worlds. This month, pop culture of the 80’s. Everything ranging from Thundercats and Transformers, to Back to the Future and Ghostbusters. The 80’s to put it bluntly, were awesome! That is why the 80’s is this month’s theme for the Autumn Society of Illustrators. Some of the pieces that I have seen are incredible and I can’t wait to see all of them this Friday. Hopefully you guys can make it down to Old City and check out these drawings in person. After the jump are a few illustrations from Tom Whalen, Pat Kinsella, and Minder Singh. The promotional art above was done by Chogrin. So come on down to Brave New Worlds this friday at 6pm to check out this cool exhibit!

What's it mean to be a geek? Wikipedia defines a geek as "a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly intellectual" and describes "one with low social skills, regardless of intelligence." Geekadelphia is a bunch of geeks blogging (and drawing) about all-that-is-geek in the City of Brotherly Love and beyond.
