Philadelphia, if you haven’t decided on being in Old City tonight for first Friday, you should definately consider the fact that Brave New Worlds is hosting the mobile Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles van.

“But Tim, I’m going to be at Cavanaugh’s River Deck for the Mashable Mixer sponsored by Independents Hall!”

Oh please, don’t give me that excuse.  I’ll be shmoozin’ with the drink specials there too, but it’s not stopping me from checking out this mobile museum of memorabilia celebrating the 25th anniversary of the first TMNT comic.

The TMNT Van will be across the street from Brave New Worlds tonight from 6-9pm @ 45 N. 2nd Street.  See you there!

PS:  Don’t forget about FREE COMIC BOOK DAY – it’s tomorrow at comic shops everywhere!

This is no cause for alarm, folks, as this virus is purely digital. WoW Insider just reported that certain “Unliving Swines” in the Borean Tundra zone of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft have a chance to spread a disease aptly named “Swine Flu” to players when attacked.

The disease itself is harmless, but whenever a player carrying the swine flu attacks a player or monster there is a chance for “Outbreak” to occur, a damage causing disease (it only last for eight seconds) that also slows players’ movement speed.

Coincidence? Purely, since this game mechanic has been in the files since The Wrath of the Lich King released last November. We recommend that our fellow citizens of Azeroth stay clear of all zeppelins, passenger ships and flying mount roosts in Azeroth. Outland should be clear… we think.

Beep Beep! It’s the jerkmobile. Waaah-nakin Skywalker can’t seem to walk these days.

I really thought I’d seen all things Star Wars under the sun, but I guess I missed the transit chapter from our favorite Dark Lord of the Sith. I’ve found some images of tall, dark and handsome mocking machinery and transportation systems in a polished glory. As entertaining as this is, it has far from seduced me to the Dark Side: I’m somewhere between pissed off, laughing really hard and contemplating buying a cape.
