The Legend of Zelda Triforce: The Drink

You know what? If there is one video game company that’s going to drive me to drink, it would be Nintendo. Curse your Nintendo Wii and its blasted waggle! But Eric, what about The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess? Bah! Play it on Gamecube.

On that note, I present to you the Triforce, an alcoholic beverage inspired by The Legend of Zelda that appears to pack one hell of a punch. And I’m not talking about one of those weak punches you throw in Wii Sports. I’m talking a knocks-you-on-your-ass-drunk one. From the creator’s blog…

So all you Zelda fans know the Tri-force has three parts. Link (courage), Zelda (wisdom), and Gannon (strength). That was the inspiration for this drink. I chose a dark Rum for Link, since he represents courage, and the nick-name for rum is “liquid courage.” Then there is 99 Bananas for Zelda. It’s smooth and refreshing (and since she is a girl, she gets the fruity part – duh!). And lastly there is Goldschlager for Gannon, representing strength, because it is the part of this shot that really kicks your ass. And Goldschlager has actual gold flakes in it!

Sounds delicious to me. Hey National Mechanics, think you can start serving this one up? Please? Also, we’d like it served properly, on a Nintendo DS. Those can come free with the drink! You see… these… these are the ideas. You should hire me. Thanks.

Hey! Hey! Renee also made the 1UP, the Zero Suit, and the Moogle. But the Triforce is probably the prettiest shot among them.
