Gorillaz Creators Go Bananaz

Yesterday, an awesome documentary popped up over on babelgum.com about the Damon Albarn/Jamie Hewlett animated  band, Gorillaz. Directed by Ceri Levy who is a friend of the duo, Bananaz documents the creation of Gorillaz from the first drawing and demo from way back in 2000 and into 2006 during the tour for the second album, Demon Days.  It’s a very interesting and intimate look into one of the coolest acts around. The film shows tons of artwork, the creation of some of the band’s well known songs and videos, and a lot of behind the scenes mayhem that makes the group come to life.
