Fallout: New Vegas Announced, Due Out Next Year

Yesterday at a press conference in London, Peter Hines from Bethesda announced that Fallout: New Vegas would be due out sometime next year on the PC, Playstation 3, and XBox 360.
Bethesda is working with Obsidian, the same folks who worked on KOTOR II.
“It is not a sequel to Fallout 3,” Hines said. “It’s simply another Fallout game in that universe.”
It will be the same sort of role-playing game experience seen in Fallout 3, he said. The game’s official reveal, with more details and a look at the game down the line.
Consider us excited. Fallout 3 was easily my favorite game released last year. Can’t wait for another.
F3 is amazing, however the lack of content available for download on the PS3 sucks. i get into very few games as i got into F3 and to be screwed by purchasing the wrong platform rubbed me the wrong way with Bethesda. that said, we already also have a Wii and might as well get a 360 to round things out.
either way, i’ll pretty much have to forgive stupid Bethesda because their games are insanely awesome and fun. i hope if there is a father figure in the next one, he’s just as sexy.
