heart-cookie

Oh Zoe Lukas, why do I have to stumble across your latest cookie creations, when I’m sitting at work hungry?

Head over to our favorite cookie maker’s Flickr page to check out her latest edible creation, these tattoo heart Valentine’s Day cookies.

If you don’t wear your hear on your sleeve, then these hip tattoo cookies are a surefire way to get the message across to you sweetheart! Hand-painted glittering tattoo hearts are iced with almond royal icing and accented with red sparkling sugar.

Hand painted? Wow!

Zoe, we’ll take some free samples. You know, for a review or something. Thnx.

Deliciously Geeky Pool Table

The G1 Pool Table

We rarely write about this sort of gaming, but I feel that this pool table deserves some recognition for it’s completely kickass design.  It’s the brainchild of industrial designer Craig Nottage, the product of his senior design project, and he’s turned his idea into a reality by starting his own company to build and sell it.

Somehow he’s managed to fine-tune the resistance level of the glass/resin top to match that of traditional felt tables.  The result is this sleek, futuristic design that fogs our glasses and makes us drool.

When Geekadelphia has offices in Center City one day, I will do my very best to ensure that we have this in our lounge area.  It’s totally cheap, at AUS $40,000.  I’m sure we can get Eric to cover it.

Papercraft: Epic Looking Millennium Falcon

mill-falcon-star-wars

Wow! Check out this amazingly detailed papercraft of the Millennium Falcon.

The detail is extraordinary and true to the movies. This is a great project for inmates with a science fiction passion or any young man who has no desire to kiss girls in his teen years. If you’ve got the time, put it together and we’ll show it off proudly.

If you’ve got time is right. I can’t even imagine how long it takes to fold this thing. You can download the free template to make your own Millennium Falcon over on Vector Vault.

Custom Made Gears of War 2 Lego Figures

Gears of War 2 is, hands down, one of my favorite games released this year. Somehow Cliffy B was able to make these characters a bit more human, adding a love interest and a narrative that finally developed the story behind Gears of War. Finally the characters were less like hamburgers that could take an endless amount of bullets, and a bit more like people.

Well, thanks to a certain talented Lego enthusiast, there are some Gears of War 2 minifigs. He’s even made a Centaur! Unbelievable.

Have a look at his Flickr stream here for more awesome Lego creations.
