Today was an exceptionally dull and painfully boring Tuesday, but thankfully OMGPosters came through with a very good find and what turned out to be my favorite Fairey parody ever.

“Comprehensive Health Coverage is the Right of all Sentient Beings”

It’s an 18″x24″ screenprint of Optimus Prime in the style of  Obama’s 2008 Presidential Campaign posters, and it’s part of a limited edition of 80 pieces.  $30 buys you one of the 70 they’re selling, and it’s available at the Nakatomi store.

Edit: there’s an additional glow-in-the-dark variant with an edition of 10, if you’re interested!

Edit (again): These are now sold out, but the artist is now offering 4″x6″ Stickers at $5 for a pack of 2, at the Nakatomi store.

About the Author

Tim founded Geekadelphia with Eric Smith in 2007. Now a multimedia designer @ QVC & Creative Director @ Big Red Tank, he writes from time to time but mostly just administrates and designs for the blog. By night, he romps around Northern Liberties. When not bowling, designing, or eating a ton of food, he can be found with his amazing girlfriend or hanging out with his pet rabbit. When she's not in town, he plays a lot of video games, and pretends to be a rock star in his underwear.

This machine reminded me of the Cylons of the old Battle Star Galatica. Was it intended that way?

  4. [...] not into the whole Obamamania thing, but this Optimus Prime themed “Change” poster is balls awesome. [...]

  5. [...] It’s quite good, and probably looks awesome framed, but I think it needs just one or two more additional hues to give it just a little more depth.  I’m a sucker for any amalgamation of pop culture and Star Wars though, so don’t be surprised if I end up having a copy in my living room next to Tim Doyle’s “Change Into A Truck” [...]
