Chop Shop’s ‘Helbotica’ Shirt

helbotica

I’m in your RSS reader serving a vital dose of typography-design-geek-links.

The T-shirt is aptly called “Helbotica” because it employs a mildly popular font you may know as Helvetica. Toronto based designer Jonathan Yule produced this gem, along with a few others as part of a series of illustrations based on his favorite sans-serif fonts.

I saw these shirts in person at NYCC (@ the Chop Shop booth) over the weekend and they looked pretty awesome next to their fantastic weRobot shirts I already wrote about.  Personally this is a must have, but I just spent my free cash on graphic novels.  Damn you, Umbrella Academy.

I walked past these at the Con and went “Ooooh Robots. I want one”, but didn’t actually stop and look at how freaking cool it is. I must have one. I heart fonts AND robots.

Good seeing you at the CON. So much fun, thinking about CHICAGO in APRIL!
