Bro: Only $1.19 A Pound in Philadelphia

bro-119-supermarket-philly

Taken at a grocery store over on 6th and Washington, here in Philadelphia. What is actually in those bags? At first I thought asparagus, but I’m seeing leaves… do asparagus have leaves?  Any guesses?

Thanks to Hans for the link.

To remain healthy, bros must remember to have 3-5 servings of vegetables daily, including, but not limited to: popped collard greens.

I’ll be here all week, folks.

Broccolini? Broccoli Rabe? or B.R.O. (broccoli, rendered obelisk)

I was just there. I bought some baby bok choy and some other choy. And the largest carrots I’ve ever seen. Once cooked, they tasted like butter.

I’m with Brad - I think it’s some kind of broccoli-related substance. Probably broccoli rabe.
