Rockstar Dates GTA IV DLC, Says Nothing Else

We’d be justified in writing just that headline, throwing up a GTA IV logo for a header and signing off, given the pittance of information released through USA Today (of all places!) around one o’clock this morning about “The Lost and the Damned”, the first GTA IV downloadable content coming to Xbox 360 in February. Speaking with the aforementioned print dinosaur, Dan Houser, vice president of creative development for Rockstar Games, said, “I can’t go into too much detail on the story, because we try not to give away too much plot before the game is released. But I can say that the story will show you a different side of Liberty City.”

According to the USA Today piece, you’ll be guiding biker gang member Johnny Klebitz through Liberty City. All we know about Johnny so far is the sliver of information Houser let slip during his conversation with USA Today, “Johnny is a very different character than Niko, with a very different background…” Well, okay then! During the course of GTA IV, Niko Bellic (star of the main story) runs into “The Lost” biker gang on a few occasions with little repercussion on the story. When asked how “The Lost” would fit into the main game, Houser said, “The story is not directly impacted by decisions you took in the main game, [but] tons of details and mysteries from the main story get explained, so it will add a lot of color to the main story.”

The price? Your guess is as good as ours (Wedbush Morgan’s ever-vocal analyst Michael Pachter thinks it’ll be $20). We do know, however, that the content will be the first of two episodes and that, again, it’s coming to your Xbox 360 “exclusively” on February 19th. Honestly though, after all this time and the flood of good games that have come out over the past few months, how many of you are waiting with bated breath for more Grand Theft Auto IV? Let us know how wrong (or right!) we are in the comments!
