Whoa! I’m sure our resident Guitar Hero / Rock Band / Donkey Konga rhythm gamer fan Ben Gilbert will absolutely love this gem. Unfortunately, this gorgeous Axe Guitar is only available for the Playstation.

The Axe Guitar is wireless, has Gene Simmon’s autographed printed on the front, and has double sets of buttons so you can jam out all over the guitar.

We’ve got the specs after the jump. Ben, looks like you’re getting a PS3.

This guitar is great – some googling revealed an interesting behind the scenes story:
    http://www.legacyengineer.com/…..uitar.html

Looks like this company is the one who actually designed it for Gene Simmons – but the thing is – I2G/Gene stiffed them and never paid for the building of it. These people are the ones behind the Flashback 2 and other cool looking products as well – they build electronic works of art. If Gene played a concert – he’d expect to get paid, well these people built what looks like a great product, real shame that didn’t get paid.

That looks like the Black Ranger’s Power Ax from the original power rangers.

I’ve never played any of the rock and roll video games or used any of the controllers (can we really call them that anymore?) but this post and that image above reminded me of something I saw, and photographed the other day.

My guess is Ted Nugent would love this.

I JUST BOUGHT THE AXE GUITAR AND IT REALLY IS AMAZING YOU CAN PLAY PS2AND3 AND GUITAR HERO AND ROCK BAND WITH A FLIP OF THE SWITCH. IT’S A LITTLE HARD AT FIRST UNTIL YOU GET USED TO THE FRET BUTTONS THE DIFFERENT COLORS
BUT I SAY GO FOR IT IT’S JUST GREAT AND THE GUITAR IS ALITTLE BIGGER THEN THE OTHERS ON THE MARKET.
