SSFIITHDR — Winner of “Longest Acronym Evarrr” Award

Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Capcom’s first attempt at getting old-school Street Fighter’s back into the 2D arena (before they announced that whole Street Fighter IV thing at least…), is apparently “actually on its way to XBLA and PSN very soon.”, according to a press release issued today from Capcom PR Wizard Tim Ng. (They didn’t wanna go absolutely bananas and actually give us a releaes date or anything. Anyone else think it’s going to get buried in the avalanche of holiday releases?)

In order to keep our interests piqued, Mr. Ng has released a slew of new screens featuring “fan favorites Cammy, Zangeif, and Blanka”, even if some of us do think that Cammy sucks. Check out a gallery after the break for more than the one you see above. But don’t blame us if you’re more excited to get your hands on Street Fighter IV than SSFIITHDR — sounds fair based on name speakability alone.
