Eh, so we’re a week late posting these photos. Wanna fight about it?

Our pal Rob Bender, a talented photog here in Philadelphia, was on site at the Lego Store in King of Prussia for their grand opening. He managed to capture some wonderful photos from inside the store, including some fantastic looking Lego dioramas and kids working on a giant Lego Yoda,

He also happened to score some seriously awesome photos of a life-size Lego Batman inside the shop. We’ve got more photos after the jump, but head over to his Flickr page for the high rez versions.

Check out Rob’s photography site at RobBender.com and the rest of the Lego store shots on his Flickr page.

Thanks Rob!

You know, whenever I see these lifesize Lego sculptures, I have to wonder, “how thick is the instruction manual?”

It’s not really visible in the photo, but some of the bricks in the corner of one of the utility belt pouches are partially melted. I’m guessing some jackass held a lighter up to it once. Either that or the statue was leaned against something really hot at one point.

Anyone been to the mall since the opening? Is the giant Yoda still there?

besides the cape, is everything on Batman made of legos… or is there some infrastructure with a just lego exterior?

I couldn’t tell, but knowing Lego folk, they tend to be purists so its probably entirely Lego. They may have used glue though.
