8-Bit Art Found in Philly

So I’m not exactly a photojournalist and there’s a strong possibility I was enjoying the incredible happy hour prices at the time, but lo-and-behold when I lifted by head from the glass of Rowhouse Red there was a booger-on-fire shooting plumber above a duck with a penchant for pushing my buttons. You see, a photojournalist would have found out the name of the artist (oops!), asked how long this has been hanging/will hang (nope) and maybe take some other shots for comparison (not a chance) — I just snapped this shot, told the crowd there with me how excited I was, and sat back down for more booze consumption.

In case you want to go do all that real work yourself, you can go check out this painting at the Northstar Bar (2639 Poplar Street). Do yourself a favor though: don’t drink the Yard’s anything. You’ll thank me.

That is some sick art, but what’s the deal with the Yard’s?

Ben’s clearly not a big fan - I like some of the seasonal Troegg’s myself but mostly I stick to Lager or something foggy if I’m feeling fancy.

I like Yards a ton! It’s always skunked at Northstar, which is beat — thus my statement. Wooo Yards!
