Sam & Max: Season One Premieres October 7th

Oh, October 7th. Why aren’t you here yet? Sam & Max: Season 1 drops for the Nintendo Wii that day, and we can’t wait. Sam & Max Hit The Road was one of the best games developed during LucasArts’ adventure game era, when they released fantastic point and click adventures like Day Of The Tentacle, The Dig, Full Throttle, and the wonderful Monkey Island series. Delivering bright, overly cartoonish visuals and brilliantly witty writing, Sam & Max really holds a special place in this geek’s heart.

Tell Tale… I have to hand it to you. You are a brave little developer. First you took Homestar Runner, an internet flash series beloved by many, and transformed its two dimensional visuals into a 3D masterpiece. Now, you’re at it again with Sam & Max, once again taking an adored series and adding your own special twist. Will Tell Tale be able to live up to the former series? This geek sure does think so.

Gamestop is offering a special pre-order on Season One. For $30 you get a fun bonus CD with all kinds of neat behind the scenes footage, trailers, art, desktop wallpapers, and so forth. Awesome!

    Well, for those that truly can’t wait, one of the episodes (Lincoln Must Die!) is available for free download on http://www.steampowered.com. Theo only downside being that you have to download the free steam client first. It was pretty hilarious and as soon as I get moneys I’m buying the rest. :)

    MAX: Say, could you tell me which of these handkerchiefs smells more like chloroform?
