Oh Snap! The 1st Annual NY Games Conference Starts Today!

It’s Thursday, and you know what that means — a brand new yearly convention full of high-paid executives delivering speeches about “the state of the gaming industry” and what’s going to happen in “the digital download space”, of course. But seriously though, just like a certain other gaming industry event earlier this Summer, we’re heading out of Philly and towards another major city, this time that big freakin’ apple only two hours north.

Digital Media Wire, hosts of the L.A. Games Conference as well, are bringing their industry-focused flavor eastward for the first time ever with the NY Games Conference. With keynote addresses from gaming industry favorites such as Sony Online Entertainment’s John Smedley, The NPD Group’s Michael Klotz and EA’s Manny Anekal, it’s sure to be nothing short of a killer time. We can’t necessarily say that there’ll be tons of groundbreaking announcements, but there’s sure to be a ton of very interesting insights into gaming that we’ll happily share with you here on the Geek.
