He really says that, I swear.

With Season 3 of Dexter just around the corner (the first episode airs on September 28th), we’ve teamed up with Showtime for a little contest.

Winners will receive Dexter – Season 2 on DVD, as well as a really cool large poster of Dexter on the cover of Wired. Everyone’s favorite “hacker” is right. You can scope out the poster after the jump.

So what do you have to do?

To enter, write a Dexter themed haiku. It can be about the show, the main character, his actions, serial killing, whatever, as long as it is in the traditional haiku five-seven-five stanza. When you’re done, leave it in the comments. (Thanks for the idea, Marisa!) The winners will be announced and have their winning poems posted on Friday, September 26th.

The deadline for the contest is September 24th, so get crackin’!

We aren’t the only Philadelphians who are excited about Season 3. Philadelphia’s own City Paper posted the Season 3 trailer on their blog, The Clog.

The first episode of Dexter Season 3 airs on Showtime on September 28th. For us Philly folk, it’ll be on at 9PM. Others, check your local listings for times.

Scope out the sweet poster after the jump, and be sure to leave your haiku in the comments! Feeling bashful? Email it to us instead.
