Google Maps: Cloned Trees in Holland

No, they’re not the type of clones you’d find in Star Wars, or Battlestar Galactica. These are a set of trees cloned in Photoshop found in this part of Holland thanks to Photoshop Disasters.

It’s not quite as entertaining as what we find on the streets of Philadelphia via Google Street View, but it makes you wonder what they covered up that area for. A secret military base? An alien landing site? Someone has to know, and I’m willing to bet they’re not trees!

    I putting my money on it being a seam where hi-res meets low-res. If you zoom out you can see the obvious difference in contrast of the areas to the left and right of the touched-up trees. Goolge must touch it up to make it look more seamless.

    You can see the same thing at 19th and Diamond Sts. here in Philly. There’s even some ghosting where the images overlap. Also more obvious when you zoom out.
