Beyond Good & Evil: Sequel In The Works! Yes!

In my fine opinion, Beyond Good & Evil is easily one of the best games ever to be released on the original XBox console. It provided innovative, animated graphics, a compelling storyline, and provided gamers with a female video game character that, for once, was not a bundle of cliches. She wasn’t some over sexualized vixen with torn clothes and heaving, practically exposed breasts, but instead, a normal looking (despite green lipstick) woman, who wore jeans and a t-shirt.
While some people might disagree with me on the beauty of this game (Ben!), I highly recommend finding it in your local Gamestop’s used section. You won’t be dissapointed.

That being said, I was thrilled this morning when I read about a possible sequel. A team of ten to twelve programers have been working on Beyond Good & Evil 2, and unfortunately, still have to wait for the suits at Ubisoft to green-light the project before it kicks into full production. It’s okay though. I have a glimmer of hope, and will happily wait.
Read more about it over on Joystiq.

thank god! this game was so much fun [ while i played it on the gamecube and not the xbox ] the game was so nice to look at and so much fun and it was all wrapped up in an interesting world that had a lot of depth yet to be explored. while the final boss did have its annoying mirror button hitting moments that somehow made my brain freeze up and not quite grasp without the help of my brother sitting next to me i loved every mind and was upset at how short that game felt…even tho i did everything i could in the game to keep it going. While the end [ post credits ] was very predictable and left the sequel wide open i have been figuring i would never see it…ever. lets hope this does get pushed forward…maybe with a wii version…

It’s not just for Xbox!
I have the PC version (my PC can barely run it!), but the controls are a little awkward, so I’ve also been searching for the GC version for a while now. I’m hoping the new one comes out for Wii.
