A Spam A Day: Junk Mail Inspired Comics

As bloggers, we deal with a lot of spam mail. I’m talking spam mail of epic proportions. In our inbox and in our comments, there is really no escaping it. Just delete it, and move on.
Well, at least Konrad, an artist in Germany, is doing something creative with it.

14 Wheel Segway: Coming To The Art Museum? Please?

Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find any information on this genius who has invented the 14 wheel segway, all I know, is that I want one. Imagine, cruising around on THIS thing in the Art Museum area, running over tourists and small dogs left and right.
A man can dream though.
A man can dream.
14 Wheel Segway [...]

Halo 3: The Musical?

I’m a big fan of anything Machinima and anything related to Halo III, so this amazing video about getting a no-scope (when you snipe a person without using the scope on the sniper rifle), is absolutely brilliant. I pulled this off last night and alas, did not receive the warm reception that this player did.
The [...]

Quake Live: Now Beta Testing

ID Software is currently looking for Beta testers for Quake Live, a glorious online version of one of the best shooters ever made. We here at Geekadelphia are pretty psyched, and we’ve sent in a request to be a Beta tester. Why not? Could be fun.
Visit the Quake Live website to sign up! If you [...]

The Ten Most Badass Geeks in Film & TV: Where’s McLovin?!

I don’t know about you, but I love lists. The ten most this, the ten worst that… whatever. They never fail to make me laugh and get all nostalgic. Always Watching’s list of the ten most badass geeks from movies and television, is no exception.
They list all the greats, like Peter Parker, Neo from the [...]

Rickrolls: Delicious, Taste Like The 1980s

Flickr user PlanetWire didn’t just make rolls.
He made Rickrolls.
They look tasty, and feature the iconic face of 80’s star Rick Astley, who is once again famous due to the rick-rolling internet meme.
Check it out on his Flickr page.

Filming Dream of the Romans in Philadelphia: Exclusive Hollywood Quality Photo

Jeff Daniels! In Philadelphia!
My pal Jon, who lives up in Rittenhouse Square, caught this snapshot on the way to work, filming on 21st and Delancy. Apparently they were shooting a scene for the upcoming 2009 film, Dream of the Romans. Awesome!
Anyone else score a picture? Let us know!
Thanks Jon!

CBS3: Thinks Star Wars Has Been Around For 40 Years

Fact: Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope came out in 1977.
2008 - 1977 = 31.
Epic fail, CBS3. Epic fail.
Read the article in its entirety here on the CBS3 website.

Blizzard Denies Uwe Boll Rights to World of Warcraft Movie: Thank God

Uwe Boll makes some crappy movies. Seriously. Alone in the Dark, Bloodrayne, the completely neccesary Bloodrayne II, In The Name of the King, House of the Dead… the list goes on. Soon he’ll be destroying Far Cry on the screen. When he set his untalented eyes on World of Warcraft, Blizzard thankfully said no.
Boll [...]

Wild Peacocks Running Around South Jersey

Flickr credit PhillyBits
Ray from PhillyBits was off exploring South Jersey this past weekend, and caught a pretty hysterical sight. Wild peacocks. He followed the bird around, taking photos galore, and capturing these great shots of the peacock being stalked by a neighborhood cat.
The funny thing was that it was being actively stalked by their [...]
