Max Payne and Max Payne II: The Fall of Max Payne were two of my favorite games on the original XBox system. They introduced a gritty, noir style storyline to video gaming that blew me away. The best part about these games? You can totally score them used for less than $5 at your local Gamestop these days.
So you can imagine how psyched I was when IGN posted about the upcoming Max Payne movie starring no other than Mark Wahlberg as Payne himself. The film is being directed by John Moore, who is best known for Behind Enemy Lines and the remake of Flight of the Phoenix.
I’m really hoping this brings about a Max Payne III. Seriously. Please. Or at least film some scenes here in Philadelphia, so we can get some more paparazzi photos of Marky Mark.
HAHA. Awesome! Mark Wahlberg certainly has the right look and as someone who also loved the series, I too am rather psyched to see the film.
