Red, Jonny, and a Jealous TX-5882
Red and Jonny are two happily married artists / storm troopers who live in Caledonia, Canada, and have a series of Stormtroopers in Love photos on their Flickr. They take their Stormtrooper helmet everywhere they go, and will be featured in the 2008 edition of Star Wars Insider Magazine.
Philadelphia’s own TX-5882 expressed some serious jealousy, [...]
Furniture pr0n
DesignPhiladelphia posted up a hysterical link to Furniture Porn. Check it out, and laugh. The site layout is made to look NSFW, but don’t worry, it is.
And yes, I said pr0n. Get up on your g33k lingo, n00bs.

MakePhilly Idea: Battle Beetles!
So I missed MakePhilly this weekend due to school. Again. Ugh.
In an attempt to make up for this, here’s another fun idea! If making Bristlebots is too taxing, perhaps some pre-made battling robots would be best for you. These RC Beetle robots from Sega duke it out hardcore, the remote giving you full control of [...]
Casino vs Turtles… Turtles FTW!
We here at Geekadelphia love animals. We really do. I have a bunny and a chinchilla, and Tim and his fiancé have a rabbit as well. So we fully support the little red bellied turtle and his battle against the casinos.
Want to help? Hit up TurtleSale, a website that somehow manages to sell live turtles [...]
Ten Golden Rules of Online Gaming
Now that I’ve started playing World of Warcraft with Tim (we’re on the Blood Furance server, come join us), I can now understand websites like WoW Insider and appreciate the WoW references Tim makes on a day to day basis.
While learning to play however, I discovered the Ten Golden Rules of Online Gaming. These commandments [...]
Ghost Boat in Philadelphia
My pal Mark took some snaps of a sinking, wrecked ‘ghost boat’ here in Philadelphia two summers ago.
Check out the Flickr photo set that he has up for some really beautiful images, and his blog post for some more info on the mini-adventure.

The Hacktory: Microcontroller… It’s Back
The folks over at The Hacktory hosted a microcontroller class last month and now, it’s back due to popular demand. You’ll be working with Arduino boards, and no prior knowledge of electronics of programming is needed to get your controller working.
Artists use these microcontrollers to add movement and interactivity to their artwork. So check [...]
Next Physics Game
Coolest… flash game… ever.
Sketch out random shapes and lines, and let gravity takes its course.
My favorite thing? Using huge triangles as slides, and sending little dots along the slope. Click away, and enjoy losing all kinds of time to this addicting flash toy.

The Geekadelphia Abides: Big Lebowski Shirt!
You’re out of your element!
While waiting for a train at 30th Street Station, I ran into the station’s little bookstore, where I came across I’m A Lebowski, You’re A Lebowski by Bill Green and his associates. An amazing book, an amazing movie.
On par with that, is this fantastic Big Lebowski t-shirt. Pick it up, I’ve [...]
McDonald’s Boss: Geeks Are Fat Cause Of Games
In this fantastic article, Steve Easterbrook, the CEO of McDonald’s in the UK, says that video games are to blame for children getting fat, not chicken nuggets at the McDonald’s in Philadelphia (above).
Kids like this.
Personally, I think this is just his way of getting back at the McDonald’s Video Game. Play it, it’s fun.
