PSP 3.80 Firmware Makes PS1 Games Rock Again

Gaming news on Digg has been slow and predictable with the usual Top of the year posts.  Blah, Bioshock, Halo 3, GoW 2, Crysis, yadda yadda.  But what REALLY caught my eye this morning was the latest firmware update for the PSP.  It seems Sony has listened to firmware hackers and  has secretly updated the Remote Play functionality to allow playing of all PSone downloadable games as well as the original discs.  Yes, Philadelphia – I am here to tell you that this means I can now play my FAVORITE Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 level while wasting away on a plane for 20 hrs at a time over this holiday season.
